El Dorado Beef Casserole Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, choped
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 cup water
1/4 tsp.chili powder
1 9 oz. package tortilla chips, coarsely crushed
1 cup sour cream
1 cup (4 oz ) shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Coat a 1-1/2 quart casserole with cooking spray.
Brown beef and onion in a large skillet for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, water and chili powder. Mix well and simmer for 3 minutes.
Spread 1/3 of the beef mixture into the casserole. Top with 1/3 crushed tortilla chips, the 1/3 cup of the sour cream. then 1/3 cup of the cheese. Repea these layers 2 more times ending with cheese.
Bake at 375 25-30 minutes until bubbly and the topis golden.
Serves 4
