Ana's Favorite Green Bean Recipes for Thankgiving

3 Bean Salad Recipe

1 (16 ounce) can green beans
1 (16 ounce) can red beans
1 (16 ounce) can wax beans
2/3 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. vegetable oil

Mix green beans, red beans, wax beans in a large bowl. Season with salt & pepper to your own taste. Add vinegar, sugar & vegetable oil to bowl of beans. Stir throughly together.


Green Beans with Almond Recipe

2 lb. fresh green beans
3 T. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. slivered almonds
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped

Break ends off and place beans in a pot of boiling water. Cook 10-12 minutes and drain. Melt butter in a skillet. Stir in salt, pepper and lemon juice. Add beans and almonds. Stir to coat and warm. Garnish with fresh parsley.


Green Bean Casserole Recipes

2 pkg. frozen green beans
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 c. condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 T. pimento, diced
1 c. french fried onions

Cook beans in salt water until tender and drain. In a bowl, combine milk, soup, and pepper. Pour over beans and gently stir until beans are well-coated. Add 1/2 cup of onions and mix in to bean mixture. Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle top of casserole with remaining onions and pimentos. Bake an additional 5-15 minutes until onions brown.


Green Beans And Tomatoes Recipes

2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) ready cut peeled tomatoes, drained
2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) green beans, or fresh green beans steamed
1/4 c. olive oil
1 med. onion
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 T. fresh basil
2 T. fresh parsley

Heat olive oil in a 12 inch pan. Saute onion, garlic, basil, and parsley for 3-4 minutes. Add drained tomatoes, lower heat, and cover for 15 minutes. Add green beans, cook 5 minutes.


Green Beans With Walnuts Recipe

2 lbs. green beans
2 T. butter
2 T. walnut oil
1 c. chopped walnuts, toasted
2 T. parsley
salt & pepper

Cook green beans in large pot of boiling water about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Drain very well. Melt butter with walnut oil over high heat. Add green beans and toss until heated, about 4 minutes. Add pepper, walnuts, and parsley and toss again.


Green Bean and Ham Casserole Recipe

3 c. ham, cooked and diced
3 medium potatoes, sliced
1 (No. 303) can cut green beans
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. margarine or oil
2 c. milk
1 c. American cheese, grated

Melt margarine, add flour and milk. Stir until thick. Add cheese. Spray a 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish with Pam. Add potatoes, cover with green beans. Add 1/2 cheese sauce. Add ham and pour rest of cheese sauce on top of ham. Cover top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30- -35 minutes.
