Apple Maple Cream Pie Recipe

6 cups tart apples sliced thin
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp plain/kosher salt
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup whipping cream

Place apple slices, sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch and salt in large bowl, mix well. Next mix cream and syrup in a bowl. Pour over apple mixture, refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Next use very large spoon and spoon into an unbaked pie crust. Top with another pie crust poke a few holes in to shell. Brush top crust with milk sprinkle with a little sugar. BAKE at 400* for 1 hour. Best let cool before serving. Makes 1 9 inch pie.

I know this is very old recipe from Indiana and my grandma. ENJOY !!
