Face Paint Recipes
I agree with Susie in Indy, GE stoves are reliable. I have a gas GE that
requires electricity for oven. Gas stove top allows us to cook if we loose
electrical power here in the country. Put it in 20 plus years ago when we built
our house. So easy to clean and temperatures are true. Definitely would consider
same brand again if needed a stove for one who cooks daily.

Ann's Turkey Recipes
Crock Pot Barbecued Turkey Legs
4 turkey drumsticks, thawed
Salt and pepper;
1/4 c catsup
1/4 c molasses
1/4 c vinegar
1/2 ts Hickory smoke salt
1 tb Instant minced onion
Sprinkle turkey drums with salt and pepper. Place in large
crockpot. Combine catsup , molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hickory
smoked salt and instant minced onion. Pour over turkey. Cover and cook on Low
for 7-9 hours.
Makes 4 Servings
3 c chopped turkey, diced
hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1 small can Mushroom pieces
3/4 c celery,
almonds; blanched, slivered
1 tb onion, chopped
1 can cream
of chicken soup, condensed
3/4 c Mayonnaise
1/2 cup potato chips, crushed
Mix together first 6 incredients. Stir soup into mayonaise.
toss with turkey mixture. Turn into 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with noodles.
Bake in 350 degrees oven 30 min or until mixture is bubbly.
Bbq Turkey Breast
Yield: 12 Servings
Poultry, Main Dishes, Turkey
1 medium egg; whipped
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c oyster sauce
1/4 c red wine vinegar
1 c brown sugar
1 ts horseradish, rounded
1-1/2 ts garlic salt
10 lb Turkey breast slices; 3/8" thick
7 ingredients; add 7-UP. Marinate turkey in marinade over night. Grill over
medium heat, being careful not to overcook. The sauce will carmalize over the
heat creating a chewy crust.
4 Turkey thighs (each about 3/4 pound)
3/4 c Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce
1/4 c Unsweetened pineapple juice
turkey thighs, leaving skins intact; place in large plastic bag. Combine
remaining ingredients; pour over turkey. Press air out of bag, tie top securely.
Refrigerate overnight; turn bag over occasionally. Place turkey on grill about 6
inches from moderate-hot coals. Cook 45 minutes, or until meat thermometer
inserted into thickest part registers 180 F. Turn pieces over frequently.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
Turkey Kabobs Recipe
2 lb turkey breast, diced 1" cubes
2 bell peppers diced 1" cubes
Onion, diced 1" cubes
1 lg can pineapple chunks
10 lg Mushrooms
Make sure the Kabob swords fit your grill. Either they should fit entirely
inside the grill or long enough to place across the lip of the cooker like a
rotisserie. This way the meat and vegetables will cook evenly.

Dice all of the turkey breast, onion, and bell peppers.
Alternate red and green peppers to make a nice presentation. Use the pineapple
juice to marinate the mushrooms for about an hour. Thread the meat and
vegetables on the swords as you think will make a good presentation. Cook over
the fire until the meat is done. Baste with the pineapple juice while cooking.
Makes 4 kabobs

Dump Cake Recipe
1 (14 ounce can
sliced peaches, undrained
1 c nuts; chopped
1 c flaked shredded coconut
1 pk yellow or white cake mix (2 layer)
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c margarine;
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange peaches with the
juice in botttom of a greased nd floured 9x13" pan. Sprinkle cake mix over top.
Sprinkle nuts mixed with coconut and brown sugar on top. Drizzle melted
margarine over all.

I got this recipe from the
internet, but was only the cup version, made a few changes and added the Grams
quantities. I suspect a lot of people use cups, but as there are a lot of people
from elsewhere in the world in Nancy's group, including me who use grams or ozs
thought it would make it more versatile and should cover most bakers needs. I
recently tried cutting out the salt for medical reasons, but I and particularly
DH really missed it.
Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies Recipe
Ingredients in Grams:
4 large eggs
106g Dark Cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon espresso powder
1 tablespoon vanilla
227g (2 sticks) unsalted butter
340g chocolate chips
Ingredients in Cups:
4 large eggs
1/4 cups Dark Cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 cups chocolate
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9" x
Crack the 4 eggs into a bowl, and beat them at medium speed with the
cocoa, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, and vanilla for about 4 minutes.
You can do this while you're melting your butter (next step).

butter, then add the sugar and stir to combine. Or simply combine the butter and
sugar, and heat, stirring, until the butter is melted. Continue to heat (or

this point will dissolve more of the sugar, which will help produce a shiny top
crust on your brownies.
Add the hot butter/sugar mixture to the egg/cocoa
mixture, stirring until smooth.
Add the flour and chips, stirring until
smooth. Again, adding the chips helps produce a shiny top crust.

Bake the brownies for about 30
minutes, until a cake tester inserted into the centre comes out clean, or with
just a few moist crumbs clinging to it. The brownies should feel set on the
edges, and the centre should look very moist, but not uncooked. Remove them from

Shredded Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla Recipe
2 medium corn tortilla(s)
6 Tbsp salsa, (divided)
cooked boneless skinless chicken breast(s), shredded
2 Tbsp cheddar cheese,
shredded, low fat, (gluten free variety)
1 medium uncooked scallion(s),
1 Tbsp jalapeño pepper(s), diced
1 cup(s) mixed greens
cup(s) uncooked bell pepper(s), chopped
1/4 cup(s) fresh radish(es)
1 tsp fresh lime juice, or to taste
1 pinch table salt
pinch black pepper
Spread 1 tortilla with 2 tablespoons
salsa; sprinkle with chicken, cheese, scallion and jalapeno. Cover with 2nd
tortilla; cook in a skillet or oven until heated through. Toss together greens,
peppers, radishes, oil and lime juice; season to taste. Cut quesadilla into 4
wedges; serve with remaining 1/4 cup salsa.

Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Recipes
16 oz Soft Cream Cheese
3/4 c Sugar
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Ginger
1 (9) Graham cracker pie
1 Egg yolk
Mix 2-8oz. Soft cream cheese, 3/4 C.
sugar & 2 eggs, beat till smooth. Add 16 oz. C. pumpkin, 1/2 t. Ginger & 1 1/2
t. cinnamon. Brush the pie crust with egg yolk & bake 350F for 5 minutes. Pour
combined ingriedients in pie crust & bake 350F 40-50 minutes. Cool & put in
Refrigerator for a few hours to firm. (The reason for the 5 minute bake on the
pie crust is so it won't get soggy)..
Makes 24 Sm. pieces
4 c ciced apples
1/2 c vegetable oil
2 ts vanilla
1 c pecans,
2 c all-purpose flour
2 ts soda
2 ts cinnamon
1 ts salt
Toss apples and sugar. Add oil. mix and add nuts. Add eggs and
vanilla. In a seperate bowl, sift together flour, soda, cinnamon and salt and
pour into other ingredients. Pour into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake 350 degrees for
1 hour. Cool and frost.
Blueberry Crumb Cake
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups blueberries, fresh or thawed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup all purpose flour
Mix together all dry ingredients for crumb
topping. Cut in butter to form coarse crumbs and set aside. Prepare cake by
sifting together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and gradually beat
in sugar. Add egg and milk and beat until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix.
Fold in blueberries lightly. Spread batter in greased 9 inch square baking pan.
Sprinkle evenly with crumb mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Brown Sugar Pecan Pound Cake Recipe
1 lb. dark brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c.
butter, softened (3 sticks)
5 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans, lightly toasted
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs. Sift together
flour and baking powder, and add to batter alternately with milk. Add vanilla
and pecans, stirring gently. Do not overbeat. Bake in greased and floured tube
pan (not bundt pan) for 90 minutes at 325 degrees. Can be eaten plain or spread
Cake Mix Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
1 box yellow cake mix (2 layer)
2 c. quick cooking oats,
1 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 lg. eggs
1 c. chopped
nut or 1/2 c. nuts and 1/2 c. raisins
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine cake mix, oats and sugar in a large bowl. In a separate
bowl, combine oil and eggs and mix well. Add to dry ingredients, stirring well.
Stir in nuts, raisins and vanilla. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons, 2-inches
apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350? for 10 minutes or until lightly
Caramel Pudding Cake Recipe
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
brown sugar, packed
2 c. cold water
In a mixing bowl,
cream butter and sugar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed
mixture with milk, Stir until smooth. Spread in a greased 8-inch square baking
pan. Combine brown sugar and cold water; pour over batter. Bake at 350 degrees
for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
