Pear n Jello Salad Recipe

old recipe TNT for sure

1-16 oz can pear halves, drained reserve syrup
1- 4 oz pkg lime jello (I have used lemon, cherry or raspberry flavor)
1 cup boiling water
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 8 oz large cream cheese soft (can use light cream cheese)

Drain pears, reserve3/4 cup of syrup. Dice pears, set aside. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add reserved syrup and lemon juice. Measure 1-1/4 cups of jello , pour into 8x4 loaf pan, that has been sprayed with vegetable oil. Chill 1 hour.Blend remaining jello with chunks of cream cheese. Mix well. Next add pears stir till combined. Spoon over the clear set jello. Refrigerate for 4 hours; unmold and slice.

I serve it on a bed of lettuce. I have also made this with canned apricots or fruit cocktail. ENJOY !!
