Cole Slaw with Celery Seed Dressing

1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
2 medium onions, chopped fine
1 green pepper
1 cup sugar

Dressing:
1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon salad mustard

Mix cabbage, onions, pepper and sugar, and set aside while making the dressing. Mix ingredients for dressing and boil for three minutes. Pour over cabbage mixture and refrigerate overnight before serving. This salad will keep several days when refrigerated.
