Apricot Bar Cookie

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 (15 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (3 1/2 ounce) can flaked coconut
6 oz. dried apricots, finely chopped

Heat oven to 350?. Place butter, sugar and 1 cup flour in a medium size bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until coarse crumbs form. Press crumbs firmly into bottom of a buttered 9-inch square pan to make a bottom crust. Bake at 350? for 25 minutes. Remove from oven to wire rack. Combine remaining 1/3 c. flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, condensed milk, coconut, and apricots in medium bowl. Blend well. Spread evenly over cookie dough. Bake at 350? for 35 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars. .
