Applesauce and Raisin Bread
2 1/2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. raisins
Heat oven to 350 degrees; grease and flour 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Beat all
ingredients except raisins in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl
constantly, 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2
minutes. Stir in raisins. Pour batter into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted
in center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from pan.
Cool completely before slicing.
