Easy Biscuits

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
3/4 cup milk

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture has appearance of coarse cornmeal, work mixture for as short a time as possible. Add milk, stirring only to combine ingredients. Turn out on floured board and knead about 1 minutes. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut. Bake in preheated 450 degrees 12 to 14 minutes.
