Black Magic Cake
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup dry cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350? F. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add
eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Beat with mixer at med. speed for 2
minutes. ( batter will be thin ). Pour batter into a greased and floured (or
sprayed) 13x9" pan or two 9" cake pans. Bake @ 350? F. for 35-40 min. for oblong
pan or 30-35 min. for round cake pans.
Cool and frost as desired.

Powdered buttermilk does not have to be mixed
separately. I just add the powder with my flour and the water with the my other
liquids and let it mix in the batter.
