Brown Sugar Drops

Mix thoroughly:
1 cup soft shortening
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs

Stir in:
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk

Sift together and stir in:
3-1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt

Chill dough 1 hour.
Drop by round teaspoon about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 400 deg. for 8 to 10 min.

* Powdered buttermilk does not have to be mixed separately. I just add the powder with my flour and the water with the my other liquids and let it mix in the batter.
