2 slices raisin bread, made into crumbs
2 tsp. each granulated sugar and margarine
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
20 lg. frozen pitted cherries (no sugar added)
2 sm. apples, cored, pared and sliced

1-inch piece cinnamon stick
1 tsp. cornstarch
In small bowl combine crumbs, 1 teaspoon sugar, and the margarine and ground cinnamon; set aside. In small saucepan combine fruit, 3 tablespoons water, and the cinnamon stick; cook over low heat for about 3 minutes. Combine remaining tablespoon water with cornstarch, stirring to dissolve; add to pan and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat and remove and discard cinnamon stick; add remaining teaspoon sugar and stir to combine. Into each of four 6-ounce custard cups spoon 1/4 of fruit mixture; top each with 1/4 of crumb mixture and bake at 400 degrees, until topping is browned, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
