Marshmallow Ice Cream

24 marshmallows
1 C. milk
1 T. vanilla
1 C. cream

Melt marshmallows in milk ( fruit juice may also be used in place of the milk), in a double boiler. Remove from heat and add vanilla. When mixture begins to thicken add whipped cream or chilled canned milk and whip. Freeze 30 minutes and remove and beat again. return to freezer for 2 - 3 hours or more. One square of choc., fruit or crushed peppermint candy may be added to this recipe.
