London Broil Quick Marinade

For beef chuck shoulder steak. Steak, about 2 lbs.
1 tablespoon salad oil
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Trim excess fat from steak and wipe with damp paper towels. Lay steak on cutting board. Combine remaining ingredients and brush half over steak; let stand about 45 minutes. Place steak, oil side up, on lightly greased broiler rack. Broil about 4" from heat, 5 minutes. Turn, brush steak with remaining oil mixture, broil 5 minutes longer. The steak should be rare. (Broiling times may vary.) Remove steak to cutting board and slice very thinly on the diagonal across the grain.
