Almond Waffles

2 1/4 cups water
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup almonds
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients and blend until light and foamy, about half a minute. Let stand while waffle iron is heating. The batter thickens on standing. Blend briefly. Spray iron with Pam. Bake in hot waffle iron 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Set timer for 8 minutes.
