Evaporated Milk Chocolate Pie

1-1/3 cups sugar
3 tbs. flour
3 tbs. cocoa
3 eggs
1 large can evaporated milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 unbaked deep dish pie crust 1/2 cup sugar

In a mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, and cocoa. Mix well. Add egg yolks (keep whites for meringue). Gradually add milk stirring until well blended. Add vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350° F for 40 to 45 minutes. Beat egg whites until stiff adding 1/2 cup sugar for meringue. Cover pie with meringue & bake at 400° until lightly browned.
