BEEF AND AVOCADO SALAD

AVOCADO DRESSING:
1 lg. ripe avocado, peeled, mashed
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. mayonnaise*
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
2 to 3 drops hot pepper sauce, if desired

SALAD:
3 c. torn or shredded lettuce
3 med. tomatoes, cut into wedges
1/2 lb. bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
3/4 c. croutons, if desired

In small bowl combine all dressing ingredients. Beat at low speed until smooth. Cover and refrigerate several hours to blend flavors. At serving time, arrange salad ingredients on individual plates or toss in large salad boil. Serve with dressing. Six servings. *Homemade mayonnaise, commercial mayonnaise, or reduced calorie mayonnaise can be used.
