Corn and Tomato Casserole

2-1/2 cups whole kernel corn
2-1/2 cups canned tomatoes
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup coarse cracker crumbs
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
Dash pepper
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Combine all the above ingredients in a greased casserole. Sprinkle with grated cheese, additional cracker crumbs and dot with butter. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Serves 8.
