Hi Nancy, Fur Associates and Nancylanders,
So happy our favorite recipe newsletter is gaining popularity again.

What happened to Tona in Bama? I think she submitted a lot of recipes in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Take care. Mary Joe in New Orleans

What is tomato pudding? My sister says we had it when we were little. How do you serve it? Is it served hot or cold?

I am looking for a recipe for liver and onions. To me it doesn't sound good but to my husband it does.

Pat's Tortilla Snack Recipe
I take flour tortillas and cut each one into triangles. fry them in grease and then quickly sprinkle each side with cinnamon and sugar. Pile them on a serving tray and watch them disappear. At home I always line a bowl with several pieces then drizzle honey over them and top with a couple scoops of vanilla ice-cream. They will beg for more.

Love this site. You do an excellent job. I was wondering can anyone give me any hints on how to file recipes and what do the put their recipes in? Does one use folders or glue recipes on to file cards. or do they use photo books or what? Any help would be welcome.

My husband wants me to fix him hamburger gravy like his grandmother made. He said that he ate it over fresh biscuits or cornbread. Can anyone help me with this recipe?

If you don't buy butter in stick form then take a pound of it, cut it in quarters and use 1 of them as the "stick".

Put 1 tablespoon of vinegar (I normally use white) or lemon juice in a cup. Fill with milk. DO NOT STIR. After 5 minutes the milk will be sour which is a good substitute for Buttermilk.

Mary's Microwave Corn on the Cob
I've been doing corn-on-the-cob the cob this way for years. Peel it, wrap each ear of corn in a paper towel, and cook in the microwave. I do 2 ears for my husband and I for 3 min. It's quick, and doesn't heat up the kitchen during the warm summer months.

This is my husbands favorite.

Jenny's No Bake Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

2 (9inch) prepared graham cracker crusts

Beat together cream cheese and confectioners sugar. Mix in peanut butter and milk. Beat until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon into two 9 inch graham cracker pie shells; cover, and freeze until firm.
